Common questions about lawn mowing.
How often will you mow my lawn?
Most Worcester-area lawns do best on a weekly schedule from late April through early October, when cool-season grass grows fastest. We also offer biweekly mowing for customers who prefer a longer interval — just keep in mind we never cut more than a third of the blade height at once, so if the lawn gets very long between visits it can take an extra pass to bring it back safely.
Do you bag the clippings?
Short clippings from a weekly mow are left on the lawn — they break down quickly and return nutrients to the soil. If the grass is taller than usual and the clippings would clump, we bag or blow them. We always clear clippings off driveways, walks, and beds before we leave.
Do I need to be home when you mow?
Nope. Once we set a schedule and you show us the property once, we take care of everything while you’re at work or out. We’ll let you know if we ever need to skip a week — say, after a heavy rain when the ground is too soft to mow without making ruts.
